We’ve found a website that sells all the great Yorkshire produce found at a food festival – and more!
That’s it, no more food festivals for me this year. I’m bored of them. It’s the same producers selling the same range of products time after time.
I challenge you to go to a food festival and put together a three course menu based purely what’s available on the day. Yes, there’s plenty of choice when it comes to cheese, chorizo, preserves, bread and sloe gin, but beyond that, nothing! At least that’s my view on things.
And even if I do pick up a product or two, where do I buy it after that if I fall in love with it? Do I need to make another 20-30 mile trek to track down the seller again? I’m done with all that!
So what’s the alternative I hear you ask? Well I’m sure there’s a few but the one place I have come across of late is Yorkshire Finest Foods, a website that sells all the great produce I’d find at a food festival and more!
Yorkshire beef, Yorkshire pork, Yorkshire chicken, smoked fish, preserves, relish, you name it, they have it, and best of all every single product is from a Yorkshire producer.
Yorkshire Finest Foods delivers UK-wide at a very reasonable price. You simply pick your items on their website and sit and wait for them to arrive.
So what are my favourite products from Yorkshire Finest Foods?
Chilli Chutney – Made by Sarah. She says: “I am passionate about using as much Yorkshire and British produce as I can. The vegetables are fresh and local; the spices are organic and freshly ground. I only use English Organic Cyder vinegar, even my jars are made in Yorkshire!”
Rare Breed Sausages – Joyce & Charles Ashbridge (mother and son) founded Taste Tradition on New Year’s Day 2004. Their success is testament to the increased value people place on animal welfare, traditional methods and high quality, beautifully tasting real produce.
Sirloin Steak – This rare breed sirloin steak is almost as tender as fillet steak but packed full of bold meaty flavours, enhanced by the dry aging process which is a minimum of 21 days maturing.
Our Chris tried out the service and produce from Yorkshire Finest Foods and is writing with his honest opinion. This is not a sponsored post.
