Traditional Regional Dishes

For 2013 we set ourselves the task of discovering regional english food classics across the UK. Yes, Yorkshire is among the regions, famous as it is for its incredible Yorkshire Pudding. But what else is there to uncover on our journey across our counties?

After much research, we arrived at 47 current ceremonial counties in the UK. This number does change from time to time as you’ll discover in our first post, but generally we’re happy that the 47 we have provides such a superb regional round up of classic UK dishes.

As we complete each of the 47 recipes, the region to which the recipe belongs will be named on the map. Simply click on that county to view the regional dish. If there is no name on the county that means you must be patient and trust that the county’s dish will appear during 2013. While you wait for a particular county, yorkshirepudd.co.uk encourages you to try regional dishes that are new to you!

We had great fun creating this clickable recipe map for you. Watch it populate throughout 2013 with delicious dishes and join us for this mouth-watering journey across the UK!
