PlayStation Plus August 2026 Games: What Members Can Claim

PlayStation Plus members have three new games to claim this August, with the selection covering open-world action, cooperative problem-solving and psychological horror. Dying Light 2 Stay Human: Reloaded Edition, Big Walk and Signalis are available from 4 August until 31 August 2026.

The range reflects how loosely many players now move between genres. Someone might spend an evening surviving a ruined city, solve puzzles with friends the next day and briefly open the Eye of Horus slot when they want something familiar and easy to pick up. Sony’s August selection gives subscribers several options without repeating the same type of experience.

Dying Light 2 brings the largest world

Dying Light 2 Stay Human: Reloaded Edition is the biggest game in the August line-up. It places players in a post-apocalyptic city where infected creatures fill the streets and rival human factions compete for control.

Players take the role of Aiden Caldwell, who arrives in the city while searching for information about his past. The story changes according to some of the decisions made during missions, including which groups receive access to important facilities.

Movement plays a major part in the game. Aiden can climb buildings, leap across rooftops and use tools to move through areas that would be difficult to cross at street level. Travelling above the infected is often safer during the day, although enemies can still appear inside abandoned buildings and dark zones.

Night changes the balance. More dangerous creatures leave their hiding places, but players can also enter locations that are heavily occupied during daylight hours. This creates a clear choice between avoiding risk and searching for better equipment.

The game supports cooperative play for up to four people. One player hosts the session, while others join that version of the city. As story decisions can affect locations and characters, joining another player may reveal changes that do not appear in your own save.

Both PS5 and PS4 members can claim the Reloaded Edition during August.

Big Walk makes communication part of the game

Big Walk takes a much lighter approach. Developed by House House, the studio behind Untitled Goose Game, it is a cooperative adventure built around conversation, navigation and shared problem-solving.

Players explore an open island filled with unusual objects, paths and puzzles. Progress depends on working with other people, but the game does not always make communication straightforward. Friends may become separated or lose access to their usual ways of speaking, forcing the group to find another method.

The design leaves room for unplanned moments. Players can follow the intended route, stop to explore or interfere with what their friends are doing. House House has included toys and tools that can be used for solving problems, although some are likely to become distractions once several people are playing together.

Big Walk is only available on PS5. It suits groups looking for a social game where success depends more on communication than fast reactions or combat skills.

Signalis offers a shorter but more intense experience

Signalis is the darkest game in the selection. The survival horror title follows Elster, a humanoid Replika who wakes inside a damaged spacecraft and begins searching for her missing partner.

Its world combines science fiction with retro technology. Computer terminals, storage systems and machinery look deliberately old, while the fixed camera angles and limited resources recall survival horror games from the original PlayStation era.

Combat is available, but ammunition and healing items are restricted. Players must decide when to fight, when to avoid an enemy and which items are worth carrying. The inventory limit also means that puzzle objects can compete with weapons and medical supplies for space.

Much of the story is discovered through documents, environmental details and fragmented memories. Signalis does not explain every event directly, leaving players to piece together the relationship between Elster, the facility she explores and the people who once lived there.

The game is listed as a PS4 title, but it can also be played on PS5 through backward compatibility.

Marvel Tōkon players also receive an extra pack

Sony is adding a separate PlayStation Plus pack for Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls on 6 August. This is not one of the three monthly games, so members will still need access to the main fighting game.

The pack includes five profile avatars based on Captain America, Storm, Spider-Man, Doctor Doom and Ghost Rider. It also contains result-screen poses for 20 characters, including Ms. Marvel, Star-Lord and Peni Parker.

Members must claim and download the pack through the PlayStation Store. Sony says it will remain available until 6 August 2027, giving players considerably longer to redeem it than the monthly games.

The August games must be claimed before September

All three monthly games can be added to a member’s account between 4 and 31 August. Once claimed, they remain accessible while the account has an active PlayStation Plus membership.

The availability of individual games can differ between regions, so members should check their local PlayStation Store before downloading. It is also worth adding each title to the library even if there is no plan to play it immediately.

August’s selection avoids relying on one major release to carry the entire month. Dying Light 2 provides the long campaign, Big Walk covers social play and Signalis offers a focused horror game that can be completed without a large time commitment. Together, they give PlayStation Plus members three genuinely different reasons to clear some storage space.
