Yorkshire’s late-summer food calendar moves quickly. Filey’s August festival has already taken place, but Wentworth Woodhouse, Ripley Castle, Stirley Community Farm and York still have major food events ahead. Great British Food Festival at Wentworth Woodhouse: 15–16 August 2026
The Great British Food Festival runs on the East Front Lawn at Wentworth Woodhouse on Saturday and Sunday, 10am–5.30pm. The venue advertises street food, an artisan market, chef demonstrations, live music and bookable workshops. Tickets currently start at £15 for adults, £7 for children and £42 for a family ticket.

Book before travelling rather than relying on the gate. If a workshop matters to you, reserve that separately and leave time to reach Wentworth: the house is outside central Rotherham.
Harrogate Food & Drink Festival at Ripley Castle: 22–23 August 2026
The 2026 festival returns to the Ripley Castle parkland for two days. The organiser promotes street food, independent bars, chef demonstrations, markets, live entertainment and family activities. Ticket types and prices vary, so use the current ticket page rather than an old social post.

Ripley is a village venue, not Harrogate town centre. Check the organiser’s parking and public-transport advice, wear shoes that can cope with grass, and recheck the weather policy before leaving.
Stirley Food Festival, Huddersfield: 5 September 2026
Yorkshire Wildlife Trust’s free festival runs from 10.30am to 4pm and focuses on local, sustainable and nature-friendly makers, organisations and producers. It is a smaller, community-led option rather than a ticketed country-house event.

York Food & Drink Festival: 18–27 September 2026
York’s ten-day festival returns across two weekends, with the programme being released from early August. The organisers say the food and drink trails will return, linking independent cafés, restaurants, bars and producers around the city.

Do not try to do everything in one visit. Start with the official programme, choose one demonstration or tasting, then build a compact trail around it. York is easiest on foot once you are in the centre.
