The Yorkshire city’s in a foodie spin already as the first ever Leeds Indie Food Festival has begun.
The month of May, between 7-24th, will involve more than a hundred local businesses show off their wares to our region’s foodies, with events from and real-ale nights to gin-tastings and screenings of the best food-related films.
Try something new
The idea of the festival is to encourage people to try something new – whether it’s tasting Polish street food or learning how to cook with one of the many masterclasses.
Events will be held all around the city, in the many restaurants, bars and pubs who are taking part, as well as featuring collaborations between local businesses.
The festival will end with ‘Leeds Feast’ on the 22nd and 23rd of May, which will be held at the renovated The Tetley and will feature more than 30 independent street food traders, the best craft beer from the region, a host of panels and Q&As, music, supper clubs, tasting rooms and much more.
Once the Leeds Indie Food Festival has ended it will be immediately followed by the Leeds Food and Drink Festival, from 22nd May until the 7th June.
It really is all going on!
