On the 30 March, Old Tom’s Gin Kitchen will rise like a phoenix from the ashes, providing Leeds with a place of worship, or a shrine if you will, for the tipple known as Mother’s Ruin.

Clearly Waitrose have somehow sensed my excitement for Christmas 2015 and this week kindly invited to have Christmas dinner with them together with a few other handpicked bloggers.

We caught up with Yorkshire’s famous foodie son to find out all about his return to the county to judge a competition of his second love: brass band music. He also reveals his secret ingredient to his Yorkshire pudds – which he’s not messing with because it was his Gran’s!
