Pulp is a community of wine lovers without the BS around it
What if you could choose wine like you choose beer, super straightforward? Let’s be honest. Wine is seen as snobby, an exclusive club of a select few. But it doesn’t have to be. I’ve tested a wine box from Pulp, a company that has created a community of wine lovers without the BS around it.
It’s quite simple: they believe that wine is just a drink like any other, and are welcoming anyone who thinks the same to join in.
Established just last year, Pulp is on a mission to combine wine and technology to make wine easy and understandable.
They are currently developing a Pulp method – an algorithm that can predict a person’s wine tastes based on past wine ratings. How will they do it? Every month, they will send a set of four unique wines to compare and discover one’s wine taste. To aid learning, they have already created an online programme to allow customers to learn about wine.
At the same time, they will ask you to rate the wines you’re drinking so that after a few boxes they can create a personalised taste profile, which is unique to each customer, and can be used at restaurants to narrow down wine lists and pick out the wines that will perfectly match your taste without having ever tried those wines.
They’re launching an Indiegogo campaign at the end of June to help them finance the next leg of their journey but right now Pulp is offering the Yorkshire Pudd’s readers a chance to have a sneak preview of the company and will be giving away 2 Pulp boxes to the lucky winners for a draw.
